Richard Painter, Vice-Chair of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, is on a leave of absence from the organization as he eyes a run for the Senate. Painter, who is a prominent Trump critic, has not decided if he will run as a Democrat, Republican, or Independent for Minnesota’s junior Senator position.
