Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington’s track record unambiguously demonstrates that it is little more than an attack dog for liberal special interests. Despite this, CREW is routinely cited as a non-partisan ethics watchdog.
CREW Exposed seeks to set the record straight about the left’s deceptive “watchdog.” Our in-depth investigation of CREW’s funding, staff, and programs clearly demonstrates that, despite CREW whining about front group organizations, CREW itself fills that space for liberal special interests.
CREW Exposed is a project of the Center for Organizational Research and Education (CORE). CORE maintains Activist Facts, which is committed to providing detailed and up-to-date information about activists, whether respectable or radical.
We are proud to report that 100 percent of the funding for CREW Exposed was provided by foundations.
CORE is supported by foundations, companies, and thousands of individuals. Like CREW and the vast majority of other non-profit organizations in Washington, D.C., as a general rule CORE does not disclose individual donors. To quote CREW’s former Executive Director Melanie Sloan, “I wouldn’t have any donors if I revealed all my donors.”
